J. Kent Leach Elected BMES Fellow

The Biomedical Engineering Society will welcome J. Kent Leach into its Class of 2018 Fellows at an October 18 ceremony taking place as part of the 2018 BMES Annual Meeting in Atlanta.

Fellow status is awarded to Society members who demonstrate exceptional achievements and experience in the field of biomedical engineering, and hold a record of membership and participation in the Society.

Prior to joining UC Davis, Dr. Leach served as Postdoctoral Fellow (tissue engineering) with Harvard University/University of Michigan from 2003 to 2005, and received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 2003. His major research interests are cell-instructive biomaterials, understanding the local biophysical microenvironment, drug and gene delivery, and application of in-vivo imaging tools to monitor tissue formation.
