Job Opportunity: Assistant Project Scientist in the Kwon Lab

The Department of Biomedical Engineering invites applications from qualified candidates for one or more Assistant Project Scientist positions in the laboratory of Professor Sun Il Kwon.

This position will focus on detectors and system instrumentation for positron emission tomography (PET) and direct positron emission imaging (dPEI), with an emphasis on detectors with ultra-fast timing and novel approaches towards system levels.

This position requires creative contributions to and collaborative development of an active research program in the research area of Biomedical Imaging Instrumentation. The candidate will design specific experiments, including the selection of appropriate methods and techniques, and will be responsible for carrying out the research (which may involve experimental, simulation and computational components), analyzing the data and critically interpreting the results. The candidate may at times supervise students or other technical staff regarding the technical aspects of the research, including methods development, troubleshooting, data analysis, data interpretation.
