Michael Savageau Elected to American Academy of Microbiology

Michael Savageau was recognized at the Academy Fellows Reception at the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Microbiology in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Friday, June 2, 2017.

The American Academy of Microbiology is the honorific leadership group within the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), the world’s oldest and largest life science organization. The mission of the Academy is to recognize scientists for outstanding contributions to microbiology and provide microbiological expertise in the service of science and the public. 

Fellows of the American Academy of Microbiology, an honorific leadership group within the ASM, are elected annually through a highly selective, peer-review process, based on their records of scientific achievement and original contributions that have advanced microbiology.
